Quick and Easy Chicken Parmesan

A comforting and delicious chicken dish topped with marinara sauce and melting cheese, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 (23 ounce) jar of marinara or tomato sauce
  • 1 (16 ounce) package of spaghetti, cooked and drained
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (230°C).
  2. Lightly coat a 9×13 casserole dish with cooking spray.
  3. Pour 1 cup of marinara sauce into the bottom of the dish.
  4. Place the chicken breasts on top of the sauce, making sure they’re evenly spaced.
  5. Drizzle the remaining marinara sauce over the chicken.
  6. Generously sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top, followed by the grated Parmesan cheese.
  7. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  8. After 20 minutes, remove the foil and continue baking for another 10 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  9. While the chicken is baking, cook the spaghetti according to package directions.
  10. Serve the chicken over the pasta, spooning sauce on top.

Notes

For a lighter version, omit the cheese or use low-fat options. Makes great leftovers.
