This easy-to-make Ranch Chicken is perfect for busy weeknights, featuring tender chicken cooked in a creamy ranch sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional for searing)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Optional Sear: Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Sear the chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  2. Combine Sauce Ingredients: In your crockpot, mix together the cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning mix, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. Add Chicken: Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot, ensuring they’re coated with the creamy mixture.
  4. Cooking Time: Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
  5. Shred and Stir: Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks right in the sauce and stir in the sour cream for extra creaminess.
  6. Garnish: Top with shredded cheddar cheese and fresh parsley before serving, if desired.

Notes

Feel free to substitute the cream of chicken soup with Greek yogurt or a dairy-free option for a lighter dish.
