A creamy, ranch-flavored chicken dish that is easy to prepare in a crockpot, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 can, 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional for searing)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Optional Searing: If you want to enhance the flavor, heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Sear the chicken breasts for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.
  2. Prepare the Sauce: In your crockpot, combine the cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning mix, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Blend all the ingredients until smooth.
  3. Add Chicken: Carefully place the chicken breasts into the crockpot. Ensure each piece is well-coated with the delicious ranch sauce.
  4. Cook: Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. Always check to ensure the chicken is cooked through.
  5. Shred the Chicken: Once done, use two forks to shred the chicken directly in the pot, mixing it into the creamy sauce.
  6. Final Touches: For added creaminess, stir in the sour cream. If you like, sprinkle some shredded cheese on top and finish it off with fresh parsley for a beautiful presentation.
