A hearty and customizable casserole combining sausage, eggs, and cheese—perfect for brunch or dinner.

  • 1 lb sausage (any variety)
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 cup bread cubes (optional)
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl until well combined.
  4. Grease a baking dish and layer the cooked sausage as the base. If using, add the optional bread cubes and mixed vegetables.
  5. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the sausage and any optional ingredients included. Top with shredded cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the eggs are fully set and the cheese is golden brown.
  7. Let the casserole cool slightly before slicing and serving warm.

Notes

Drain the sausage well to avoid a greasy casserole. Add herbs for extra flavor.
