Fluffy, golden-brown rolls bursting with savory sausage and melted cheese—perfect for breakfast, brunch, or light dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cooked and crumbled sausage
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking sheet.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs and mix in the milk and melted butter.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir until just combined—don’t overmix!
  5. Gently fold in the cooked sausage and shredded cheese until evenly distributed.
  6. Using a spoon, drop generous spoonfuls of the mixture onto your prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and puffed up.
  8. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

Serve warm with fresh fruit, a dollop of sour cream, or honey. For freezing, wrap each roll individually and store in a freezer bag.
