A comforting dish featuring tender chicken breasts smothered in a savory sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners and family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Dredge each seasoned breast in flour, shaking off any excess.
  3. Heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the coated chicken to the skillet, cooking until it’s browned, about 5-7 minutes on each side.
  5. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  6. Add the chopped onions and minced garlic to the same skillet and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until soft and fragrant.
  7. Pour in the chicken broth gradually, stirring well to combine the flavors.
  8. Return the browned chicken to the skillet, cover it, and let it simmer on low heat for 20-30 minutes until tender.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For a healthier twist, use whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose flour. Consider adding vegetables like diced tomatoes or bell peppers for extra flavor.
