A rich and cheesy twist on the classic Chicken Parmesan, perfect for family dinners or entertaining guests.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Italian seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season both sides of the chicken breasts generously with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, if desired.
  3. Beat the egg in a shallow bowl. Dip each chicken breast into the egg, letting any excess drip off.
  4. Combine the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese in another bowl. Coat each chicken breast in this mixture, pressing lightly to ensure it adheres well.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear each chicken breast for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
  6. Place the seared chicken breasts in a baking dish. Pour marinara sauce over the top, then add a generous layer of mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve hot, and enjoy your delicious creation!

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container and refrigerated for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 15-20 minutes.
