  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Wooden skewers
  • Wooden toothpicks

Instructions

  1. Begin by cutting your large watermelon into a cake shape. Trim the top and bottom flat to provide stability.
  2. Decorate the top with a variety of colorful fruits. Use your favorites or whatever is in season for the best flavor.
  3. Secure the fruits in place by inserting wooden toothpicks into them. For added stability, use wooden skewers in the center of the watermelon.
  4. Garnish your creation with fresh mint leaves for a final pop of color and flavor.
  5. Slice and serve your Watermelon Cake, removing the toothpicks if desired for easier enjoyment.

Notes

Store any uneaten pieces in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Eating chilled is highly recommended.
