A delightful twist on the classic Italian-American Chicken Parmesan, easy to make in just 30 minutes with a crispy, cheesy coating and flavorful marinara.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Garlic powder to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the chicken breasts between sheets of plastic wrap and pound them to an even thickness.
  3. Season both sides of each chicken breast with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Set up three shallow dishes: one filled with flour, another with beaten eggs, and the last with a mixture of breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.
  5. Dredge each piece of chicken in flour, then dip it in the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with the breadcrumb mixture.
  6. Heat the olive oil in a large, oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Pour the marinara sauce over the chicken pieces and sprinkle shredded mozzarella on top.
  8. Transfer the skillet to your preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the chicken is fully cooked.
