This Baked Parmesan Crusted Easy Chicken features juicy chicken with a crunchy, golden crust, perfect for busy weeknights or family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Olive oil or non-stick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray it with oil to prevent sticking.
  3. Prepare three shallow dishes: one with all-purpose flour, another with beaten eggs, and the last with a mixture of Panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, shaking off the excess.
  5. Dip the floured chicken into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess egg to drip off.
  6. Coat the chicken in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down firmly to ensure it sticks well.
  7. Place the breaded chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet and lightly spray the tops with oil.
  8. Bake for 18-22 minutes, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F and the crust is crispy.
  9. Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes before serving to keep it juicy.

Notes

To store leftovers, refrigerate in an airtight container for up to three days. For longer storage, freeze the breaded chicken before baking.
