  • 1 can of beer (your choice)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons homemade BBQ spice rub (or store-bought)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill for indirect cooking.
  2. Rub the chicken all over with olive oil.
  3. Generously season with BBQ spice rub, salt, and pepper.
  4. Open the can of beer and pour out (or drink) about a third of it.
  5. Carefully place the chicken onto the can of beer so it sits upright.
  6. Place the chicken on the grill and cover.
  7. Cook for approximately 60 to 90 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  8. Carefully remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
