Biscuit & Gravy Breakfast Bowls are a comforting dish featuring fluffy biscuits, rich turkey sausage gravy, and eggs, all baked to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz breakfast turkey sausage
  • 5 jumbo biscuits (Grands Southern Homestyle Biscuits recommended)
  • 1 ¼ tablespoons butter
  • 2 ½ tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 ¼ cups fat-free milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 ¼ cups liquid egg whites
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Arrange 5 oven-safe containers on a baking sheet and lightly spray with cooking spray.
  2. Cut each biscuit into quarters, placing the pieces of one full biscuit into each container.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the turkey sausage until fully cooked and no longer pink. Drain excess grease and remove from the pan, setting aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour until it becomes thick and clumpy.
  5. Gradually whisk in the milk until the mixture is smooth. Keep cooking and whisking until the gravy thickens.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and the cooked sausage.
  7. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg whites, whole eggs, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  8. Evenly pour the egg mixture over the biscuits, then spoon the sausage gravy on top.
  9. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the eggs are fully set and the biscuits are golden brown.
  10. Let cool before covering and refrigerating. Reheat in the microwave for 2–3 minutes when ready to eat.

Notes

These bowls are versatile and can be made with different types of sausage or made vegetarian. Ensure to store leftovers in airtight containers.
