Chili Lime Chicken is a grilling delight that perfectly balances zesty lime and savory spices, great for gatherings or weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine the olive oil, lime juice, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl to form a marinade.
  2. Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, coating each piece adequately. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes or refrigerate for up to 2 hours.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it on the grill. Cook for about 6–7 minutes on each side until thoroughly cooked with nice grill marks.
  5. Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes, then garnish with chopped cilantro if desired and serve warm.

Notes

For a smoky kick, grill lime wedges alongside the chicken. Marinating for at least 15 minutes enhances flavor significantly.
