A delightful and creamy chicken dish cooked in a rich buttery sauce with garlic, herbs, and spices.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh dill, chopped (optional)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear chicken for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat and melt the softened butter.
  4. Add minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
  5. Stir in Dijon mustard and red pepper flakes.
  6. Add chopped parsley, optional dill, chicken broth, and lemon juice, allowing the sauce to simmer.
  7. Gradually pour in heavy cream, stirring until the sauce thickens.
  8. Return chicken to the skillet, coating it with the sauce, and let it cook for a few more minutes.
  9. Garnish with extra parsley before serving.

Notes

This dish is wonderful served over rice or pasta. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
