A rich and creamy chicken dish that combines tender chicken breasts with a luxurious sauce, perfect for impressing loved ones.

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  1. Begin by patting the chicken breasts dry. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper, then lightly dredge in flour, shaking off any excess.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear the chicken for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Once done, remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add butter and let it melt. Sauté the minced garlic for about 30 seconds until it becomes fragrant.
  4. Add the chopped sun-dried tomatoes, cooking them briefly before pouring in the chicken broth. Don’t forget to scrape up any delicious browned bits from the pan!
  5. Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and the optional red pepper flakes. Allow the sauce to simmer for 5–7 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet, ensuring you spoon the sauce over the top. Cover and let it simmer for 10–15 minutes, or until the chicken’s internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Finish by garnishing with fresh basil and extra Parmesan before serving!
