A comforting dish featuring crispy chicken, melty cheese, and rich marinara sauce, perfect for family dinners.

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Generously season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. In a shallow bowl, dredge each chicken breast in the beaten egg to ensure it’s fully coated.
  4. In another bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese. Coat the egg-dipped chicken in this mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
  5. Heat a splash of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Transfer the fried chicken to a baking dish. Spoon marinara sauce over each piece and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and the chicken is cooked through.
  8. Serve hot, and enjoy every last bite!

Notes

To ensure the chicken stays juicy, don’t overcook it during frying. For a lighter option, consider using chicken thighs instead of breasts.
