These versatile and fluffy pancakes are perfect for any breakfast, filling your kitchen with warmth and an irresistible aroma.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • Optional: chocolate chips or berries

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Beat the eggs in a separate bowl and mix in the milk, sugar, and melted butter until combined.
  3. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined; don’t overmix. If adding chocolate chips or berries, fold them in now.
  4. Preheat the skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or oil.
  5. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown on both sides.
  6. Keep the pancakes warm on a plate while you finish cooking the remaining batter.

Notes

Let the batter rest for a few minutes before cooking for fluffier pancakes. Use a non-stick skillet for the best results.
