An easy and delicious teriyaki chicken recipe made in a crockpot. Perfect for busy weeknights or family dinners.

  • 2 lbs chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. Pour in the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and minced ginger, ensuring the chicken is well-coated.
  3. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  4. Once cooked through, shred the chicken using two forks.
  5. Create a slurry by mixing cornstarch with a little water. Stir it into the crockpot.
  6. Allow the sauce to cook for an additional 10-15 minutes until thickened.
  7. Serve the teriyaki chicken over cooked rice and enjoy!

Notes

For vegetarian, substitute chicken with tofu. Use coconut aminos for a gluten-free option.
