A simple and flavorful marinade that transforms ordinary chicken into a juicy and delicious centerpiece for any barbecue or weeknight dinner.

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano or thyme

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, honey, salt, pepper, and herbs until well combined.
  2. Place your chicken pieces in a resealable bag or a shallow dish.
  3. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it’s well-coated.
  4. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for enhanced flavor.
  5. Preheat your grill on medium heat.
  6. Cook the marinated chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until it’s cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  7. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
