Transform overripe bananas into a deliciously moist banana bread, perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack.

  • 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg (beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  3. Mash the ripe bananas until smooth using a fork.
  4. Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
  5. Add in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix everything together until well blended.
  6. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture, stirring gently to incorporate.
  7. Fold in the flour, mixing just until no dry flour remains. Avoid overmixing.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
  9. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, testing for doneness with a toothpick.
  10. Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
