This easy and delicious chicken marinade transforms simple chicken into a flavorful delight, perfect for grilling or pan-cooking.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried herbs (such as thyme or oregano)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together all the ingredients until well combined.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a resealable bag or shallow dish.
  3. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it’s well coated.
  4. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate.
  5. Let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours for maximum flavor.
  6. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  7. Cook the marinated chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through.
  8. Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Unused marinade can be stored for up to a week but should not be reused with raw chicken.
