A quick and delicious Garlic Butter Chicken recipe that fills the kitchen with the aroma of garlic and butter, making weeknight dinners feel special.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts (pounded to an even thickness)
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons 21 Salute Seasoning or poultry seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt (or to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper (or to taste)
  • 1/2 cup white wine or chicken broth (or as necessary)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (or more if you want extra sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon garlic (finely minced; or to taste)
  • 2 teaspoons fresh parsley (optional for garnishing)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil.
  2. Season the pounded chicken breasts with 21 Salute seasoning, kosher salt, and freshly ground black pepper, then place them in the skillet.
  3. Let the chicken sear undisturbed for about 5 minutes until a golden crust forms.
  4. Flip the chicken and cook for another 5 minutes, or until fully cooked (extend cooking time to 6-7 minutes for thicker breasts).
  5. Remove the chicken from the skillet using a slotted spatula and let it rest on a plate.
  6. Carefully deglaze the skillet by pouring in the white wine (or broth), stirring to lift any browned bits and let it bubble for several seconds.
  7. Add the unsalted butter, stirring continuously until it’s melted—around 1 minute.
  8. Stir in the minced garlic, cooking until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  9. Turn off the heat, return the chicken to the skillet, and toss it in the garlic butter sauce to coat.
  10. Spoon the sauce over the chicken and optionally garnish with fresh parsley before serving immediately.

Notes

Make sure to pound the chicken to an even thickness for even cooking, and let it rest after cooking to ensure juiciness.
