A zesty and flavorful grilled chicken dish that combines lemon juice, garlic, and oregano for a perfect summer meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Whisk together until well blended.
  2. Add the chicken breasts to a resealable bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it’s well-coated. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to two hours for maximum flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, ensuring it’s nice and hot before adding the chicken.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade, discarding any excess marinade before grilling.
  5. Grill the chicken for 6 to 7 minutes on each side, or until it’s cooked through and has beautiful grill marks.
  6. Serve the grilled chicken garnished with fresh lemon slices for an added touch of brightness.

Notes

For best flavor, marinate the chicken for up to two hours. You can use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
