Ham & Cheese Puff Pastry Rolls

Buttery, flaky rolls filled with ham and cheese, perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed)
  • 4 ounces deli ham, sliced
  • 4 ounces cheese (such as cheddar or Swiss), sliced
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: mustard or mayonnaise for spreading

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. On a floured surface, roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet to about 1/8 inch thick, then cut it into rectangles, roughly 4×6 inches.
  3. For each rectangle, layer a slice of ham and a slice of cheese.
  4. Fold the pastry over the filling and press the edges tightly to seal.
  5. Brush the tops with a beaten egg mixture, then sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.
  6. Place the filled rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  8. Serve warm, optionally with mustard or mayonnaise for dipping.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
