Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, grated ginger, minced garlic, brown sugar, pineapple juice, and black pepper to create your marinade.
  2. Add the chicken thighs into the bowl, ensuring they are fully coated with the marinade. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. While the chicken is marinating, preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Once marinated, remove the chicken from the bowl and discard any leftover marinade.
  5. Grill the chicken thighs for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
  6. Serve your juicy chicken alongside rice, a fresh salad, or grilled pineapple.

Notes

For variations, you can swap chicken thighs for drumsticks or tofu. Adjust sweetness by reducing brown sugar or using more garlic and ginger.
