A delightful twist on the classic breakfast favorite featuring soft, fluffy Hawaiian rolls transformed into sweet French toast, drizzled with maple syrup.

  • 8 Hawaiian rolls
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Maple syrup, for serving

Instructions

  1. Cut the Hawaiian rolls in half and set them aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sugar until well combined.
  3. Dip each half of the Hawaiian roll into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds.
  4. Heat a generous amount of butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Carefully place the soaked rolls into the skillet.
  6. Cook each side until golden brown, about 2–3 minutes per side.
