Delicious and nutritious high protein burgers made with black beans and quinoa, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup cooked quinoa
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking
  • Whole grain burger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, and other desired toppings

Instructions

  1. Mash the black beans in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  2. Add the cooked quinoa, breadcrumbs, diced onions, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Combine everything until well mixed.
  3. Shape the mixture into burger patties.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and heated through.
  6. Serve on whole grain burger buns with lettuce, tomato, and other toppings.

Notes

To ensure the burgers hold together, mash the black beans thoroughly and adjust the moisture with water or olive oil as needed. Customize with different spices or toppings as desired.
