Delicious Honey Garlic Chicken Skewers with a sweet and savory marinade, perfect for summer barbecues and quick weeknight meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs chicken breast or thighs, cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Skewers (wooden or metal)

Instructions

  1. Whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, ensuring each piece is coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes; for best results, refrigerate for a few hours.
  3. Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat. If you’re using wooden skewers, soak them in water for approximately 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken onto the skewers, leaving some space between each piece for even cooking.
  5. Grill the skewers for 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks. Alternatively, spread them on a baking sheet and bake at 400°F (200°C) for about 20-25 minutes.
  6. Serve the skewers warm and enjoy the mouthwatering flavors!

Notes

For an extra kick, add red pepper flakes or Sriracha to the marinade. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
