A delightful dish of tender chicken thighs glazed with a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar (rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar)
  • 1 tablespoon neutral oil
  • To taste salt
  • To taste pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir until well blended.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they’re fully coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat neutral oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Remove chicken from marinade, allowing excess to drip off.
  4. Cook chicken thighs for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).
  5. Pour remaining marinade into the skillet and simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to reduce the sauce and coat the chicken. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.

Notes

For best results, marinate the chicken longer to enhance flavor. Serve over jasmine rice or with stir-fried vegetables.
