A delightful dish of tender chicken in a creamy Marsala wine sauce topped with Parmesan, perfect for romantic dinners or family meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup Marsala wine
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat a splash of olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Sear the chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. Using the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  5. Pour in the Marsala wine, scraping up any browned bits stuck to the bottom of the pan.
  6. Stir in chicken broth and heavy cream, mixing in Italian seasoning. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  7. Place the chicken back into the skillet and top with grated Parmesan cheese.
  8. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until chicken is fully cooked.
  9. Once baked, garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Serve over mashed potatoes or rice to soak up the sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
