A delectable, creamy dish featuring succulent chicken breasts enveloped in a rich sauce of garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, and Parmesan cheese, perfect for impressing guests or enjoying a comforting weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and sear until golden brown, approximately 5-7 minutes per side. Once cooked, remove the chicken and set aside.
  3. Add minced garlic to the same skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir in the Italian seasoning and optional red pepper flakes. Bring this mixture to a gentle simmer.
  5. Incorporate the chopped sun-dried tomatoes and grated Parmesan cheese, mixing until it’s all combined and creamy.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet, ensuring it’s immersed in the sauce. Cover and let it simmer on low heat for 10-15 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

For best results, do not overcrowd the skillet when searing the chicken to ensure better browning.
