  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Generously season each chicken breast with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once shimmering, add the seasoned chicken.
  3. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic. Sauté for about a minute until fragrant, taking care not to let it burn.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and bring it to a gentle simmer.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and Italian seasoning, mixing well to incorporate all the ingredients.
  7. Add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted into a smooth sauce.
  8. Return the chicken to the skillet, cover, and let it simmer for about 10 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked through.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color.

For a lighter version, swap heavy cream for Greek yogurt or use vegetable broth for a vegetarian option.
