A delicious one-pan meal featuring tender chicken in a rich, creamy sauce with sun-dried tomatoes and garlic, perfect for impressing anyone.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped (in oil, drained)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh basil, for garnish (optional)
  • Freshly ground black pepper, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken: Sprinkle salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder on both sides of the chicken breasts.
  2. Sear the chicken: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil. Sear chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Prepare the sauce: In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Add sun-dried tomatoes: Toss in the sun-dried tomatoes and cook for another 1-2 minutes until softened.
  5. Simmer the broth: Pour in the chicken broth and let it simmer, scraping any browned bits from the pan.
  6. Incorporate cream and cheese: Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, allowing it to simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Combine chicken and sauce: Return the seared chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over it. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  8. Garnish and serve: Remove from heat and garnish with fresh basil and black pepper. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
