Ingredients

  • 8 ounces pasta (such as penne or fettuccine)
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder all over.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Pour the heavy cream and chicken broth into the same skillet, bringing it to a gentle simmer.
  5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning until the sauce becomes creamy and smooth.
  6. Slice the cooked chicken and add it back to the skillet along with the drained pasta. Toss everything together until well-coated.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Don’t want chicken? Substitute with shrimp or tofu. Use freshly grated Parmesan for optimal flavor.
