  • 8 oz pasta (penne or your choice)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat over medium. Add the chicken breasts and cook until golden brown, about 7-8 minutes per side. Remove and set aside to rest.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute or until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
  5. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Simmer until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
  6. Slice the chicken and return it to the skillet, stirring it into the sauce.
  7. Toss the cooked pasta with the sauce, ensuring it is well-coated and heated through.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to your taste.
  9. Serve garnished with fresh basil for that added color and flavor.

Notes

For a lighter touch, consider using half-and-half instead of heavy cream. You can also use zucchini noodles for a low-carb version.
