A rich and comforting pasta bake with tender chicken, creamy sauce, and gooey cheese that brings joy to any table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked pasta (penne, rigatoni, or ziti)
  • 1 lb chicken breast, diced into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the pasta until just al dente, then drain and set it aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat a splash of olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced chicken and cook for about 5-7 minutes, until browned and cooked through.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and Italian seasoning, cooking for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. Lower the heat, then pour in the marinara sauce and heavy cream. Mix well, allowing the chicken to simmer in the sauce for about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet, ensuring it’s fully coated in the creamy sauce.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and lightly golden.
  8. Once done, let it sit for a few minutes before garnishing with fresh basil and serving.

Notes

For extra creaminess, consider adding a splash of chicken broth. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
