Delightful and nutritious Quark Coins made with oat flakes, perfect for breakfast or a snack.

Ingredients

  • 250g Quark
  • 100g Oat flakes
  • 50g Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 100g Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the quark, oat flakes, sugar, egg, vanilla sugar, and salt. Mix well until everything is fully incorporated.
  2. Gradually add in the flour and baking powder. Continue stirring until the batter becomes smooth and free of lumps.
  3. Preheat a frying pan over medium heat and add a small amount of oil—just enough to coat the bottom lightly.
  4. Using a tablespoon, drop portions of the batter into the hot pan. Be sure not to overcrowd the pan!
  5. Cook the coins for a few minutes on each side until they’re golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Serve warm to enjoy the deliciousness right away!

Notes

For added flavor, consider mixing in cinnamon or nutmeg. Serve with yogurt and fresh berries, or drizzle with honey.
