A comforting and flavorful dish featuring tender chicken thighs cooked with aromatic spices, perfect for any occasion.

  • 4 pieces Chicken Thighs
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1 piece Green Chili
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Ginger
  • 2 pieces Onions
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 2 tsp Chili Powder
  • 2 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 2 tsp Ground Coriander
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 5 pieces Tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Coriander
  • 3 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • Salt
  • 100 ml Water

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  3. Stir in the chopped garlic and ginger, cooking for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. Incorporate the green chili, turmeric powder, chili powder, ground cumin, and ground coriander. Mix well to form a rich spice paste.
  5. Add the chopped tomatoes, cooking until softened and blended into a thick sauce.
  6. Add the chicken thighs, ensuring they are well-coated in the sauce.
  7. Pour in the water, cover the pan, and let it simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked.
  8. Once cooked, stir in the lemon juice and garam masala. Adjust seasoning with salt as desired.
  9. Garnish with fresh coriander before serving.

Notes

For a leaner option, swap chicken thighs for breasts. Adjust spices to suit your taste.
