A delightful dish combining tender chicken thighs with vibrant green beans in a rich garlic butter sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners.

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 pound green beans, trimmed
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
  • Lemon wedges for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.
  2. Season the chicken thighs generously with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, if using.
  3. Place the chicken thighs in the skillet and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Introduce the trimmed green beans and a splash of water. Cover the skillet to steam for about 5 minutes until tender.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet, toss everything together, and serve the dish hot. Squeeze fresh lemon over it for an added zing if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate chicken thighs in the garlic and butter mixture for 30 minutes before cooking. Avoid overcrowding the skillet for the best sear.
