A delightful dish combining tender chicken, creamy cheese, and savory bacon, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 to 3 pounds chicken breasts or thighs
  • 6 to 8 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked and chopped (or 1 cup bacon bits)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, cut into cubes
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 packet (about 1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Place the raw chicken breasts or thighs evenly in the base of your slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix, garlic powder, and onion powder evenly over the chicken.
  3. Cut the cream cheese into cubes and spread those over the top of the chicken.
  4. Cover the slow cooker and let it cook on low for 6 to 7 hours, or until the chicken is tender and shreds easily.
  5. Once the chicken is cooked, use two forks to shred it directly in the slow cooker.
  6. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and the cooked bacon bits. Allow the cheese to melt and mix with the smoky bacon flavor.
  7. Give everything a good stir until it’s creamy and thoroughly combined.
